http://www.junkystyling.co.uk/

I strongly recommend this website to anyone interested in recyclable fashion and something a bit quirky!

Also over christmas I was able to purchase the book on Junky Styling and it is wicked...it contains working drawings and ways of collecting old recycled fabrics and clothes and the interesting new pieces one can create.

My Favourite Accomplishment So Far......

I am so thrilled with my achievements today! The trainer at the top are the ones I am wearing right now and i added a very similar print as to the print on my trainer. It is really exciting to see my ideas translated of colour and pattern in illustrator as it is simple to do. I feel as though I am finally getting to grips with this 'I.T' business....about time!!

This is from several weeks ago during a pattern cutting session. Unfortunately I got ill and got behind with the whole blogging thingy!!
I really enjoyed this lesson and actually found it quite easy; modelling on the stand was something I briefly touched on at A-level so it was good to recap it and complete this more acurately.

The only problem i found with regards to modelling was that i tended to complete each small process before everybody else, this meant I got bored waiting for others to catch up. However, I do understand that other people may not have done anything like this before so i need to be considerate.

I made a small mistake during this session, whereby i cut into the fabric to far at the neck and at the underarm so i had to get another piece of fabric....maybe i rushed through it a little!

Communications in Black and White!

Hannah Bingham and I teamed up on Monday's design session to create this masterpiece. However my camera decided to die on me so there should be some more photos to follow from Hannah! I had so much fun completing this task, I jumped straight and began designing using black and paper onto the stand. Overall I was very happy with finished outcome; this is my kind of activity/task!! :-)

Modelling on the stand!

(pictures to follow) I really enjoyed today, eventhough i have done all of this before. I don't want to think that i know everything and can't relearn things again and properly. I'ts just I get very bored very easliy and when it comes to completing each task before the rest of the group i find myself just staring into space! I think I may need a bit more of challange but then again it's early days still.

The good thing about my small amount of experience i pattern cutting and modelling means I know exactly what I am doing-I still make mistakes-and this measns i finish quickly and am able to help my classmates if they wish.

Illustration Part 2!

This appears to be a very eventful half day at uni.....and it was! Once again I have learnt many new computer skills in Adobe Illustrator. I didn't get so frustrated with the computer today because I am now giving myself a chance to learn new things. I do believe it was easy today as I was sitting next to Tiffany and she seems to be a bit of a pro! Thanks. I feel extremely proud of my achievements in P.P.R.D and Illustration as I.T is so not my strong point.
